I rented a "fat tire" bike from The Yellow Bike Rental Company and set off to ride the multi-use path around the peninsula/park.
I
had a paper map and set off. The path was paved. I wasn't
sure I was going the right way until I saw this East Pier sign.

The park has a Perry Monument.
On the way to Noth Pier, I saw this huge area of wild irises. So pretty!

I walked out on the North Pier fishing pier and got a picture with the light!
First view of the Lake Erie beach side! It felt very much like Point Pelee.

On the way to/from North Pier, there are house boats to see!

This was a nice map of the park (posted across from the lighthouse).
I stopped by the lighthouse but didn't pay to go in (or up). It reminded me so much of the Pointe aux Barques lighthouse in Michigan's Thumb!

After Presque Isle State Park, I drove to Erie Bluffs State Park.
The walk starts with the Transition Trail, a (boring) gravel road with no shade.

After about 15 minutes on the Transition Trail, you get to the Lookout Trail (and shade).
The Lookout Trail is just a standard forest trail.

After 5 minutes on the Lookout Trail, you come to a lookout of Lake Erie. I was expecting more.
My final destination for this trip was Cuyahoga Valley National Park!
