A Rocky Summer Adventure
July 20 - 22, 2021

When I had last been in Columbus for a conferemce, I had seen intriguing brochures about the Hocking Hills.  On this trip, I travelled to see them and the Red River Gorge in Kentucky!

I drove to Columbus to spend the night before hiking in the Hocking Hills.  I stayed at the Quality Inn Grove City.

My first stop in the Hocking Hills was Cantwell Cliffs.  It turned out to be too steep for me while hiking alone, so I left.

Next stop was the Rock House Trail.

The parking lot was empty, and the trail was, too.  But it was my kind of trail!  Here are the rock steps to head down to the "Rock House" area.

So pretty!

The scenery was stunning.

Third stop in the Hocking Hills was Conkles Hollow.

I took the gorgle trail (which was paved a lot of the way).
