We took a private bush taxi back to Lome. Greer bought all
the seats in a 9-placer. The windshield was completely cracked.
It took a little longer than our first bush taxi (even though there were
no other people and we didn't stop!).

Greer and Mother sat on the seat behind me.

We stayed at the American School Boarding House again but in a
different three-person room. We had our own bathroom!
That night Greer introduced us to one of the
delicacies of Togo, FanChoco!
(It's frozen chocolate ice milk in a bag. Yum!) |
The next morning we had omelette sandwiches (delicious!) for breakfast
and ran into PCV Jen.
We got to see the Lome beach (the Atlantic Ocean!) but didn't stay
more than a minute or two; the beach is a hotbed of thieves.

After a long day around Lome (we visited the intense marche and
walked around), we were tired, so we went back to the Peace Corps bureau.
Mother checked her e-mail.
Our last meal in Togo was at the same restaurant as our first meal
in Togo, Philipat's (one of the best restaurants in Lome).
PCV Fred got to go with us. We had pizza!
