On my second day in San Diego, I set out to visit the Mission and Old Town.

Breakfast was not included with my room, so I walked over toe a nearby Jack in the Box for breakfast.

(We don't have Jack in the Box in Michigan, but my sister has lived in the West for a long time and has introduced me to it.)

I had a breakfast sandwich, hash brown, and orange juice.  Greasy but good!
My next stop was offbeat;I found it on Roadside America.  It's a suspension bridge!?! It is named the Spruce Street Suspension Footbridge and was built in 1912!
I love historic places like this!  It reminded me a little of finding the bridge abutments in Lewiston and Queenston. It was so fun to walk across!

After the suspension bridge, I drove out to San Diego's origins: its Spanish mission, Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala.
