Landing in New Orleans
	I chose New Orleans as my destination for my Christmas 2014 trip because it was the cheapest warmish-weather flight I could find out of Detroit ($250 on Spirit, including bag fees)! This was the beautiful scene out of my airplane window as we neared New Orleans on December 20, 2014. Clouds above and below us!
I splurged on my first night in Louisiana, staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Kenner, Louisiana.  They had a great AAA rate ($98 + tax)!
One of the reasons I chose the hotel was because of its location: just down the street from the Esplanade mall.  I walked there (to the Target) to pick up some lotion and pop!
	After walking back from the mall, I walked in the other direction several blocks to the Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers restaurant and had their sandwich meal for dinner.  Yum!
