We had another leisurely morning, with our train to Padua not leaving until 10:32 am.
While the breakfast did not have a huge variety, it was still delicious and was served in a beautiful breakfast room.  This was the only place on the trip I was served pear juice! We could not get the in-room wifi to work, so the shared guest computer just off the breakfast room was handy.
When we arrived in Padua, we bought tram tickets (just outside the train station) and took the tram south to the Santo stop.  We stayed at Hotel Al Santo in room 106.
It was a basic hotel room.
The room was ensuite, but the shower was the smallest we experienced on out trip to Italy. We enjoyed walking around Padua's city center but didn't take a lot of photos.  I had reserved and pre-paid for a 7 pm visit to Giotto's Scrovegni Chapel (which does not allow photos), and we really enjoyed our visit.  (It was reminiscent of Ravenna's mosaics, only painted!)
After our visit to the Scrovegni Chapel, we walked to Prato della Valle, a large square south of St. Anthony's Basilica, to eat at Zairo.  We got outdoor seats on the pizzaria side.  Prices were reasonable.  There were a few smokers near us, but luckily they didn't smoke very long.
