| Hola! Welcome to my Andalucia trip pictures! | Hello!
My name is Kyla Gurganus, and I am a chemistry teacher from
Ypsilanti, Michigan. This year, we got a week off from school in
February for a mid-winter break, and I decided to travel to Spain for
the week. It had been a cold winter up to that point, and I was
ready for some warmer weather.
On February 15, 2011, I found a
good flight on Delta, round-trip from Detroit to Madrid (only one stop
each way), for $572. While not as good as the price two years
before (which was $483), it was still pretty good, and I went for it.
That gave me less than a week to make plans.
I normally use several resources to plan a trip, but since I had less than a week, I bought the book Rick Steves Spain 2011
and relied heavily on it for hotel suggestions, route/itinerary, and
things to do. Helpful websites included renfe.es and
tripadvisor.com.
The trip was wonderful! The weather was warm (40s-60s) and dry (no rain). Enjoy my pictures!
