My first stop south of Anchorage was to the Portage Glacier area. I got  to the Portage Glacier cruise dock before they opened!	The boat trip was fairly expensive but well worth it. Here is a distant view of Portage Glacier.
Here I am with the face of the glacier.  Gorgeous!	We only saw small pieces of ice calving off of the glacier during our trip but there were several fairly large icebergs in the glacier-filled lake.
