The big surprise when I got to the cruise ship was that I had been upgraded to an outside cabin!
It was my first cruise so I was totally impressed.
The room contained a TV, refrigerator, very nice closet, bathroom, and a great view!

I ate at almost all of the eateries on board but my favorite was the Horizon Buffet.
Not only was the food excellent, the view while eating was spectacular!

Here I am in my "smart casual" evening wear . . .
. . . as opposed to my "formal" evening wear.

One really nice thing about the ship was the promenade deck.  I walked laps every day (3 laps = 1 mile) and even got to see whales while walking!
One of our "cruising" days was to Glacier Bay.  Here I am in fronr of Marguerite Glacier.

It was a very nice glacier but I had already seen Portage and Exit Glaciers, both just as nice.
My science-teacher self loves this shot: you can see where the more-dense glacial (fresh) meltwater hits the salt water of Glacier Bay.  Science in action!
