Greetings from Michigan!

Here again is the website for my big 2004 summer trip.  I had a fabulous time and am already planning next summer's trip.

I flew to Anchorage, picked up a 5-day rental car, stayed overnight in Anchorage (at the highly-recommended Donna's Bed and Breakfast), and drove north the next day to Denali National Park.  The weather was clear and the road lonely until near the park, where it started drizzling.  I stayed two nights at the Denali Dome Home in Healy, Alaska, north of Denali National Park.  I then drove back to Anchorage.  My last day of rental car was spent south of Anchorage visiting Portage Glacier, Seward, and Exit Glacier.

I turned in my rental car and took the Princess bus to Whitter, where I boarded the Dawn Princess for my southbound 7-day cruise to Vancouver.  I really enjoyed the cruise and (surprisingly) the ports of call.  I food was amazing (I gained several pounds).  We got to see glaciers, whales, and (the highlight for me) puffins.

After we docked in Vancouver, I took the Princess bus to the Seattle Airport.  I stayed at the Motel 6 near the airport and took the city bus into the city each day.

Out of my two-week trip, it was only cold, drizzly, or rainy for two days, both when I was in the Denali National Park area.  It was hot and sunny the rest of the time.

Enjoy the pictures!
